I believe I may be completing the first draft of The Clove in the next few days!
I never thought I’d get here.
A major achievement for me, though I know there is plenty of work ahead.
I have the basic story written and, it ain’t bad.
The facts (when I chose to use them) are set.
Mistakes in spelling and grammar exist. Gotta fix.
Do I need footnotes in a historical fiction? A bibliography?
The main concern is weaving two or three plot lines together so they all are chronological or transition smoothly.
As far as I am concerned, all the content is usable and strong; I wouldn’t want to leave anything out.
I have to polish what’s already there.
I need to decide about the usage of the names of real people; I don’t want to offend anyone.
I need to decide if the illustrations I came up with are worth using, not that I don’t like them, but if they really add anything. Here are a couple below:
